Earlier this week, DFL Senator Nicole Mitchell was arrested and charged with Burglary in the First Degree in Becker County, Minnesota. The police report detailing her alleged crimes contains alarming details about her alleged criminal activities.
“Senator Mitchell serves in a position of public trust and appears to have committed a serious felony“, said Bryan Strawser, Chair, Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus. “Senator Mitchell must immediately resign her position in the Minnesota Senate. If she will not resign, the Minnesota Senate must take action to expel her from the body.”
“While we empathize with Senator Mitchell’s recent loss of her father, the rule of law must prevail,” added Rob Doar, Senior Vice President, Government Relations. “Senator Mitchell’s serious felony charges raise significant concerns about her ability to responsibly evaluate crucial public safety issues. She clearly lacks the judgement needed to decide on matters that impact public well-being.”
