For the past two years, the University of Minnesota Law School has operated what it calls a “Gun Violence Prevention Clinic.” In reality, it’s nothing more than an in-house gun control shop—using taxpayer resources to attack the constitutional rights of peaceable Minnesotans.
This so-called clinic has:
- Served as “Special Assistant Attorneys General” for Keith Ellison, defending unconstitutional gun control laws in court.
- Teamed up with anti-gun activists to sue Fleet Farm and Glock, seeking to bankrupt firearms dealers and manufacturers who serve law-abiding citizens.
- Trained a new generation of anti-gun lawyers whose mission is to dismantle the Second Amendment and disarm Minnesotans.
- Exploited recent tragedies in Minnesota to push for sweeping new gun bans—using heartbreak in our communities as a weapon to advance their agenda against law-abiding citizens.
The leader of this clinic even argued before the U.S. Supreme Court that cities should have the power to completely ban private handgun ownership—a position flatly rejected by the Court in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) and McDonald v. Chicago (2010).
It is outrageous and unacceptable that a publicly funded state university is running a taxpayer-subsidized gun control factory. Minnesota families should not be forced to bankroll an agenda that seeks to strip them of their fundamental, constitutionally protected rights.
Sign our petition today to demand that the University of Minnesota immediately shut down and defund this unconstitutional “Gun Control Clinic.”
Defund the UMN Law School Gun Control Clinic Petition
The University of Minnesota and its state-funded Law School should not be working against the constitutional rights of peaceable Minnesotans.
I demand that you support defunding this anti-constitution clinic that is working against the Bill of Rights.
