Constitutional Carry legislation, also known as “Permitless Carry”, removes the need for a law-abiding citizen to pay a fee and seek government permission to lawfully carry a firearm by first obtaining a Permit to Carry.
Instead, any person lawfully able to possess a firearm under Minnesota statutes may lawfully carry the firearm on or about their person.
Permits are still available as an option – these would most often be used by individuals who wish to take advantage of reciprocity with another state that honors the Minnesota Permit to Carry.
