The Gun Control Lobby’s latest scheme is to do an end-run around your rights by pushing a state constitutional amendment to ban commonly owned firearms and magazines.
Make no mistake: this is a direct assault on the freedoms of every law-abiding Minnesotan. The firearms they want to ban are the most popular rifles and standard-capacity magazines in America — the very tools protected under Heller as “arms in common use for lawful purposes.”
We will not allow politicians to strip away fundamental rights through political trickery at the ballot box. Constitutional rights are not up for popular vote.
Stop the Gun Ban Constitutional Amendment
We, the undersigned, demand:
- That the Minnesota Legislature reject any attempt to use a constitutional amendment to impose gun bans.
- That lawmakers respect the U.S. Constitution, Minnesota’s Bill of Rights, and the Supreme Court’s clear rulings protecting the right to keep and bear arms.
- That elected officials stop wasting time and taxpayer dollars on unconstitutional gun grabs, and instead focus on policies that actually address violent crime.
- That any vote to move a constitutional amendmnet onto the ballot will be treated as a vote against the Second Amendment
Tell the Minnesota Legislature: Our rights are NOT negotiable. We will not allow the Constitution to be weaponized against the people.
