Stop the DFL from taking your Semi-Automatic Rifles & Magazines

BAN ALERT:  DFL Push to outlaw Common Firearms and Magazines

Anti-gun legislators in Saint Paul and Governor Walz are expected to try to call a special session to ban commonly owned semi-automatic rifles and perhaps other firearms, and standard-capacity magazines used by millions of law-abiding Americans.

We haven’t seen language yet,  but if passed and signed by Governor Walz, this radical gun ban could:

  • Outlaw the sale or transfer of nearly every modern semi-automatic rifle in Minnesota.
  • Ban countless shotguns and pistols used for hunting, sport shooting, and self-defense.
  • Prohibit the sale or transfer of standard-capacity magazines — even the 15-round mag that comes stock with most modern pistols.
  • Force your family to surrender or destroy firearms when you pass away, instead of handing them down as treasured heirlooms.
  • Since they’re calling it a “ban” – they could even try to force you to turn in these firearms.

Make no mistake: Governor Walz has already expressed support for bans like these — and there’s no doubt he would sign this bill if it reaches his desk.

This is not about “safety.” It’s about disarming peaceable gun owners and stripping away our rights one step at a time.

We need you to take action NOW.

Add your name to our petition demanding your Representative and Senator OPPOSE this unconstitutional gun ban.

Stop the DFL Gun Ban Petition

Whereas, the anti-gun movement — led by groups like Protect Minnesota and Michael Bloomberg’s out-of-state-funded Everytown — is exploiting tragedy to push its radical gun control agenda;

Whereas, Governor Tim Walz has openly supported bans on commonly owned semi-automatic rifles;

Whereas, anti-gun politicians including Emma Freeman, Ilhan Omar, Jacob Frey, Jamie Long, and others have called for bans on commonly owned firearms;

Whereas, this past session Senator Jen McEwen has again introduced legislation to ban commonly owned firearms, including rifles, shotguns, and pistols used for self-defense, hunting, and sport;

Whereas, DFL House and Senate leadership have declared gun control a top legislative priority;

Whereas, all gun control measures are unconstitutional, a violation of the Second Amendment, and an attack on the rights of peaceable Minnesotans;

THEREFORE, AS A LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNER AND SUPPORTER OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT, I DEMAND THAT ALL MEMBERS OF THE MINNESOTA LEGISLATURE OPPOSE ANY BAN ON SEMI-AUTOMATIC FIREARMS OR STANDARD-CAPACITY MAGAZINES.
