The trusted voice of Minnesota’s Gun Owners to defend and restore the right to keep and bear arms.
What have we accomplished?
Over our history, we’ve had a number of major legislative accomplishments, which include:
- Legalized possession and lawful use of suppressors in Minnesota
- Eliminating the Governor’s ability to seize firearms, limit permits to carry, or close gun shops & ranges during declared emergencies
- Eliminated the need to obtain permission to carry a firearm at the Minnesota State Capitol Complex
- Clarified that Minnesotans may purchase long guns in any state
- Simplified Minnesota’s Permit to Carry reciprocity law
- Obtained hearings on Stand your Ground and Constitutional Carry

Legal Structure
The Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus is organized as a Minnesota non-profit organization and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(4) social welfare non-profit organization. While we are a non-profit, donations to the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus are not tax-deductible.
The Minnesota Gun Owners Political Action Committee is our connected state political fund – and is recognized by the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board as such. As a political fund, or political action committee, donations to the Minnesota Gun Owners PAC are not tax deductible.
The Minnesota Gun Owners Support Fund is an aligned non-profit organization that focuses on education, legal action, supporting youth shooting, and other non-political activities. The Support Fund is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to the Support Fund are tax-deductible.
All three organizations share the same Board of Directors and leadership.
Affiliates & Partners
We work with a number of like-minded credible groups in Minnesota and nationally in order to present a unified front against gun control and advocate together for the Second Amendment.
We do not work with groups that dishonestly represent gun rights issues or lack credibility at a local, state, or national level.
