SUMMARY:2026 Rally to Defend the Second Amendment
DESCRIPTION:Join the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus for the 2026 Rally to Defend the Second Amendment in the Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. \nDue to weapons screening requirements\, we recommend arriving no later than 11:00 AM. \nOver the past several years\, Minnesota gun owners have faced relentless attacks from anti-gun politicians and well-funded national advocacy groups. With the help of out-of-state money from organizations like Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action\, the Minnesota Legislature has repeatedly pushed unconstitutional gun control targeting peaceable\, law-abiding citizens. \nAnd the pressure hasn’t stopped. \nAlready this legislative session\, anti-gun lawmakers have pushed forward sweeping gun control proposals — including broad bans on commonly owned semi-automatic rifles\, bans on standard-capacity magazines\, and repeal of Minnesota’s statewide firearm preemption law. These extreme proposals have already received hearings at the Capitol. \nThese policies don’t target criminals. \nThey target you. \nBut Minnesota gun owners have also been fighting back — and winning. \nFrom grassroots organizing to major legal victories like Worth v. Jacobson\, which restored the right of 18- to 20-year-old adults to obtain a permit to carry\, the fight for the Second Amendment in Minnesota is far from over — and momentum is on our side.   \nNow is the time to keep the pressure on. \nWe must continue working to stop unconstitutional gun control in its tracks while advancing pro-Second Amendment reforms that protect the rights of peaceable Minnesotans. \nWhat better way to make our voices heard than thousands of law-abiding gun owners rallying at the Capitol? \nKeynote Speaker\nWe are proud to announce our Keynote Speaker: \nKostas Moros\nDirector\, Legal Research & Education\nSecond Amendment Foundation \nMoros has been at the forefront of the modern Second Amendment legal movement and will share insights on the ongoing fight to restore and defend our constitutional rights nationwide. \nWe will also hear from leaders across Minnesota’s gun rights community\, including elected officials\, activists\, and legal advocates. \nEvent Timeline\n11:00 AM – Doors Open \n11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Rally \nWhy Attend?\nWe scheduled the rally on a Saturday so that people who work during the week can attend — and we’re meeting indoors in the Capitol Rotunda so weather won’t stand in our way. \nBring your friends\, your family\, and your voice — and help send a clear message to lawmakers: \nMinnesota gun owners will not back down.\n  \nImportant Notes\nYou may carry a handgun at the State Capitol Complex if you have a valid Minnesota Permit to Carry. \n\nLong gun carry inside buildings is prohibited by statute\nWe recommend carrying concealed\nAllow time for weapons screening.  Simply tell the security staff you are carrying a firearm with a permit\nFlag poles and signs on sticks are prohibited\nHand-held signs and flags are welcome\n\nThe Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus will also have rally signs available.
